Is this project still maintained?

Hi,

We are already using this library and it works fine for us, thank you very much for it.

But, we foresee that we will need to implement some changes, mainly related to efficiency/performance, exposing APIs for efficient insertion in the middle of the data structure (there is an open issue about this from someone else) and possibly, although not as a priority, the possibility of having support for transients implemented.

And I wanted to know if this project is still being maintained to know if it makes sense to contribute those changes back to this repository or proceed with a fork maintained by me.
