Domain registration #279
Comments
I'd hate to see it go, but I do understand where you're coming from. I've started by reaching out to my team at angel.com to see if the company is interested in sponsoring the domain. In the meantime, would it be worth asking @josevalim about rolling the domain over to whomever owns elixir-lang.org? They do link to the koans website from there. Also, while you're at it, who owns the |
At the moment @ukutaht and I own elixirkoans. I would love to see find a place under the official umbrella! ☂️ Edit: I forgot to mention that we still have like... 4 months to transfer it. I was just tidying my AWS account 😅 |
Hi folks, unfortunately the Elixir team is small and we already have large responsibilities on our shoulders and we can't provide the support necessary here when it comes to domain management. In any case, it seems you are in good hands with @felipesere and @ukutaht :) |
Jose, thanks for responding, and I understand. I'm sure there are organizations that would be happy to sponsor this, we just have to find them :). Let's see what Uku says. |
I'd be happy to support it with the Plausible organization. We are migrating our DNS setup, probably some time in February 2023. That would be a good time to hand it over to us. WDYT @felipesere? |
@felipesere If you are still interested, I think I could provide domain and hosting |
👋 I've been tidying my AWS account to close it down, and
DNSimple charge me £50 to transfer and renew
elixirkoans.io
.That is a bit much for something I am not that involved with anymore...
Would someone want to get that domain and register it properly?
@ukutaht Maybe Plausible wants to pick up the mantle, given you actually use Elixir?
@iamvery not sure if you'd be interested?
