postgres-data permission

Hi,

I am trying to upload postgres-data dir mount to GitHub. But due to the permissions issue, I am not able to do so.

I have the following docker-compose file:

In the Postgres docker file, I see the gid is being set to 999. Can somebody please explain this?

I would suggest running id ayush and setting user: to your personal UID/GID, if that's what you're hoping for. In my case, that'd be user: '1000:1000', for example:

$ id tianon
uid=1000(tianon) gid=1000(tianon) ...
