Cusdis only partially works

Comments are not showing up using the hosted service on one of the sites I maintain.

I am able to see the comment form, add comments using that form, and see the "waiting for moderation" label. The comment requests show up on the Cusdis dashboard, and I can approve them without issue. However, the approved comments don't show up on the web site.

In developer mode, when I load the page I can see a flash of "Loading", but the comments don't appear.

I configured an identical setup on a different site and server and it works as expected.

And clue what might be happening?

And then it just magically started working.
