Hacking.txt is wrong in a couple ways.

  • The expansion port is wired. It goes high while the laser is running and 8 seconds afterwards.
  • The chip is a pretty specific SinoWealth chip, it's a programmable 8051 processor.
  • The controller does not have much intelligence. It stops moving the axis when the endstop is hit.
  • The PC sends relative locations, the board will absolutely slam into any wall you tell it to.
  • The whole thing is able to be controlled with just the little outputs there and they are dumb.
