OpenEBS Dynamic NFS Provisioner mount existing volume

Hi!
I'm trying to use OpenEBS Dynamic NFS Provisioner in my application in DO Kubernetes cluster.
Can you please let me know if it's possible to use existing volume in Persistent volume claim that is created with nfs-rwx-storage class?
I want to make sure the volume data is not lost even if the PVC is deleted manually. Can I do it? I tried combining PVC for NFS with these instructions (https://github.com/digitalocean/csi-digitalocean/blob/master/examples/kubernetes/pod-single-existing-volume/README.md), but no luck
