• Robert doesn't object to opening repo, but would like to finish his PR stack

• Need to reclick review request

• Discussed what format for parquet writes we need to support. Robert will follow-up to see what is done today, but evidence is that it's a mess and we'll need a solution

• Will we need a SQL parser in kernel, probably not, for now let engine decide semantics until they are more specified by the delta spec

• Discussed checkpoints in delta-rs. Conclusion: don't bother writing multi-part checkpoints until we can fully support checkpoint v2.
