Fixed format top bar - Idea

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When being required to maintain a lot of fixed format code it's a bit difficult to remember where columns start and stop. The option to hover my mouse over the column is nice, but while I'm typing it's often time consuming to switch back to the mouse.

Could there be a top bar similar to RDI that tells you where columns are?

Describe alternatives you've considered
There could a box that simply says which column your cursor is in. Without needing to hover the mouse.
