Ticket #495957
c:geo problem report (2024.10.14)

A user on support reports inconsistent showing/update of found/not-found state on caches while logging and also later.

  • Apparently some caches logged in the past are shown w/o the smileys, others are shown with the smiley
  • Zooming in/out of the map also seems to affect which caches are shown with and w/o a smiley (this is not necessarily a problem with the map itself, but perhaps the zooming in/out triggers a problem with cache data caching inside c:geo)

This seems to happen with both stored and not-stored caches. I asked the user to refresh locally stored caches, this didn't change the described effect.

Here are two screenshots which according to the user just differ by zooming in/out, nothing else was changed:

When app is restarted, then smileys are all there again, then when user scrolls on map smileys disappear again.

Any idea what happens here?

At least I can verify that the problem exists. I've noticed it for a while and always filed it under "found status not updated on map" issue.
