I've never been quite clear on the difference but I want to get it right in this episode (and throughout).

Some examples:
"We had done a lot of analyses before then, including modifying datasets and assigning intermediate objects/variables."
"identify all the variables used"
"R code consists primarily of variables and functions. "

Closed by #73. Also discussed with @peterlaurin and we decided this was fine for colloquial usage.
