Is it possible to activate a systemd service with one of the notification schemes? I know systemd has a socket activation method that I believe can start a service as soon as the socket gets a connection. None of the url schemes seem to support unix sockets, so I'd have to map a socket to TCP... seems a bit roundabout but feasible. I don't think the message even matters, I could just use JSON and send an empty message. Just checking if anyone has come up with anything better before I attempt. |
