Share the spreadsheet we have, and invite submissions to add to it.

Make a public-facing webform that feeds into the spreadsheet, and some sample text for tweets and FB posts, in which we invite others to submit pioneers that are not on our list.

Make sure we're collecting the names of people who submit, so they can be credited on the poster.

WHEN COMPLETE: I'd like to see both the sample form and the text you want to use to share with the world.

SIGNOFF: When it looks good, I'll help you brainstorm some places to post.

But there are lots of lists out there already. What's the GOAL here?

  1. Posters aren't lists -- giving teachers a readymade graphic they can print and hang is a meaningful improvement over a random list
  2. Adding our own branding is a generally good thing
  3. Involving the community means getting more attention for us.

I think you missed the question. I'm not confused about the difference between posters and lists, or about the need for branding. I'm asking why we need to crowdsource when there are already perfectly good lists out there that we could start from.

Isn't "starting from lists that are out there" #2 ?
