Your architecture

Raspberry Pi 4 Model B

Your Graphic Processor Unit(s) (GPU)

VideoCore VI

Issue description

Dollar symbol ($) in WiFi password is interpreted as a special character. For example if the password is pas$word it will not work when entered this way. It will however work when escaped like this: pas\$word
This will take programmes 10 seconds to troubleshoot, but for normies this will be impossible to resolve.

Detailed reproduction steps

Installed Batocera on RPi4. Tried connecting to wifi to no avail. When I entered to wifi password dialog page again it showed wrong saved password (dollar sign and charater immidietly after that was missing).

Details of any attempts to fix this yourself

After escaping dollar sign with forward slash my password got accepted.

Details of any modifications you have made to Batocera.
