Here's an example flow that auto-assigns all new issues to two users randomly chosen from octocat
, cat
and dog
:
name: Issue assignment
on:
issues:
types: [opened]
jobs:
auto-assign:
runs-on: ubuntu-latest
steps:
- name: 'Auto-assign issue'
uses: pozil/auto-assign-issue@v1
with:
assignees: octocat,cat,dog
numOfAssignee: 2
Instead of hardcoding the user name in the workflow, you can use a secret:
- create a GitHub secret named
DEFAULT_ISSUE_ASSIGNEE
with the name of the user - use this value
${{ secrets.DEFAULT_ISSUE_ASSIGNEE }}
instead of the username in the workflow.
