I Have the same problem. Gmail authentication stopped working suddenly. Seems to be some change at google since even a direct smtp connection is not working anymore. |
I've solved by going to https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha this link and perform the unlock procedure |
Hello Giacomo,
Thx for your reply, completely missed it. I allowed "insecure apps"
access in the google account used with the extension and still, the
connectivity test from within Magento fails with "Access Denied".

Hi. RandX here. I'm using this module on an earlier Magento version (1.9, I believe) and I suddenly get no mails via the website and self-testing by the modules button get's me "Access Denied". The gmail address is correct and so is the password for the account. What could be the issue? This used to work just fine. The support of the hosting provider I'm using, says the emails don't even arrive for sending (no log trace). What happened?
