Can't install 2.0.25 or 2.0.13 on Win10 - keeps requesting .NET

Installed Desktop x86's .NET 5.0.12 Runtime. Still got msg. Rebooted. Still got msg.
Installed Console apps x86. Still got msg.

What gives?

Try using the x64 version. It worked for me

What gives?

Use the -portable package; it includes all the .NET dependencies so you don't have to actually install them.
