  • code signing certificate [Pending on Alex]. No updates. Not for individual, it's for the CI system.
• WIP Disclaimer Exception
  • Hibernate ORM!!!!
    • AI: Reach out Hibernate team progress on ASLv2. Hibernate is relicesing for their v7, this will land a future version of Quarkus. This may risk the TLP status for KIE.
    • Drools do not have Hibernate dependencies. Runtimes, Optaplanner also no dependencies with Hibernate. Kogito Apps replace with plain JDBC - Francisco is progressing on this.
    • Tibor raised that we also have Spring Boot.
    • What about Eclipse license? Category B - can be used but have to be ion NOTICE file.
    • Alex is concerned to bring OpenJPA to runtime components in production code.
• Quarkus 3.8.0
  • 3 known issues: Operator, Hibernate more strict, DevUI new API.
    • No progress on Optaplanner Operator and Dev UI - week was focused on Hibernate issues.
    • Dev UI fixed on Apps.
    • Work is not blocker, but we are positive to have it done for the 10.0.0 release

  • ?Gradle? donated DevVelocity instance, Clay sent a PR. Sounds interesting :)
• Rebranded Quarkus Extensions [10-blocker]
  • Lots of merges for KIE and Kogito
  • Only remaining is Sonataflow, failing some errors.. Pere is trying to get it green by next week.
  • Had to change capability to accomodate Apache prefix
• Reproducible builds [10-blocker]
  • KIE Tools Circular Dependencies
    • Trusty update - will be removed to unblock the release. It's descent size work to fix TrusyAI.
      • Where code will be the code? Would be possible to have tag? Conflunce seems best option to record the Commit SHA.
    • DevUI and general UI move - PR greens. Paulo is helping with manual tests.
    • Code moved around.
      • Dominik raised that operator may need to be moved.
      • The decisions made now is ONLY to unblock the release! This needs to be discussed after.
• Initial thoughts were shared about repos structure, but this is tabled until 10.0.0 is released.
