• Quarkus 3.8.4
  • Blocked by the use of a feature not supported by quarkus anymore in https://github.com/quarkiverse/quarkus-embedded-postgresql (current mantainer @fjtirado is aware)
    • discussions happening in Zulip

      • the collision is unlikely because it's internal and isolated
    • Looks like serverless workflow rely on such component for some use cases
    • Need bring this to ML for discussing steps
    • Default port will work but will fail in node if running any parallel workload in the same node
    • Long time solution: move to h2
    • Switch to h2 won't test the postgres end-to-end
    • Use case single pod, no external service
      • not using for production case, used for certain use case - but none for production
      • devmode operator - giving user in a single node in a easy way - side by side with tools. available for long time.
      • operator manage deployment of all infra, there are cases user want to play - ephemeral is being used
      • Walter: can't afford to change to h2 in his opinion. concern is using something that is not supported by Quarkus

      • kogito-swf-devmode image has a script (create-app.sh) that depends on the SonataFlow Quarkus Dev UI being published somewhere.
      • We're trying to make it depend from the local JAR instead.

    • Generate manifests as part of build time incubator-kie-kogito-images#1739
    • (Tiago) If I understood correctly, this introduces a circular dependency between kn-plugin-workflow and kogito-serverless-operator. Would need someone familiar with the codebase to help.
