Project needs a maintainer

Hi, who at AWS will become the code owner and/or maintainer for this project now that the previous lead maintainer has left? Also could be a good time to add a CODEOWNERS file.

I could be incorrect on this, but from my understanding the awslabs org is the "pet project" org and is not an officially supported. While I won't say it won't happen, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a new AWS maintainer.

Maybe a better question is: who will become the lead maintainer irrespective of what organization they hail from?
