Hello!
It's just a zip file that the browser doesn't install after I rename the extension to xpi because it claims it's corrupted.
I vaguely remember reading or asking about it a long while ago, but I can't find it.

So what do I do with the webextension.zip?

According to this, unpack, and open the manifest file instead of the zip archive.

No difference. I only get the extension is corrupted message.

To be honest I can just upload it on Mozilla's addon page. It shouldn't be too hard to put that in the publish pipeline.

@YePpHa
But that's not presistent, right?

Installing from AMO would definitely help. But a normal addon package should be installable here as well, I don't have signature check or the sort enabled in the browser. Some addons I modified myself.
