🚀 Goal

Update the project's README file with comprehensive instructions on how to install, set up, and run the Vanilla DWA starter project.

🤔 Background

As we develop our Vanilla.js version of the Decentralized Web App (DWA) starter, we need to ensure that new users and contributors can easily get the project up and running on their local machines.

This is part of our larger project to create a Vanilla.js DWA starter. See our main issue here for the full context and list of all related tasks.

Important: For reference, please see the DWA React starter app README. While the implementation details will differ for Vanilla, this example provides a good structure and content guide for our README.

🔑 Tasks and Acceptance Criteria

  • Update the project title and description to reflect the Vanilla.js implementation
  • Add a section on prerequisites (e.g., Node.js version, npm/yarn)
  • Provide step-by-step installation instructions:
    • Cloning the repository
    • Installing dependencies
  • Include instructions for running the project:
    • Development mode
    • Building for production
    • Running tests (if applicable)
  • Add a section on project structure, highlighting key directories and files
  • Include information on how to contribute to the project
  • Add a section on troubleshooting common issues
  • Ensure all Vanilla.js and Web5 specific details are accurately represented
  • Include links to relevant documentation (Vanilla.js, Web5, etc.)
  • Proofread the README for clarity and correctness
