Namco G-Con 45

I would like to write about my experience with this gun.
Previously I made my gun following SAMCO project https://github.com/samuelballantyne/IR-Light-Gun
with these components:

• 2 chinese wii bars
• SAMCO 1.1 pcb
• Adafruit ItsyBitsy M0
• DFRobot IR Positioning Camera SEN0158

But the performance wasn't very good: poor sensitivity, calibration problems, etc...
Then I came across this project and decided to upgrade my gun.
So, I bought a couple of new items:

• ItsyBitsy RP2040
• SFH4547 IR leds

and I assembled them using this amazing firmware.
When I changed the M0 with the RP2040 I had to cut a pcb track and add a little wire to connect the power to the camera.
Just a little change...
The gun only has 3 buttons (trigger + 2 red buttons) so I configured as described here:

but it's enough.

The user experience now is fantastic: configuration is very simple with GUN4ALL-GUI, calibration works properly, sensitivity and latency are very good.
I'm using it in a home made bartop cabinet with Retropie (and RPi4) and it works very well, even if the monitor is only 20 inches.
