Factions is for PvP; yet the core of this plugin is simply protections and land claims with the ablility to control them. I found this plugin to be the best alternative to all land claiming plugins, both in terms of simplicity and usability; given the versitility of the plugin, it was possible for me to edit configuration values to recreate the plugin as what I call on the server; 'Villages'- however it was very difficult to strip out all the PvP/Factions related stuff. My use case for this plugin is allowing players to create protected areas, ally with others, and provide individuals with control over who and what is managed within their space; essentially a much simplier Towny,
Describe the solution you'd like
Config presets. The ability to choose preset configuration options which tailor the game to different game modes; or something which provides the same solution. To tailor the plugin, I had to change every single config, from individual settings; to even the languages and descriptions, to remove any mention of the word faction- as not to confuse players thinking it's a PvP server.
I suggest that when the plugin is initialized, and finds no config files; before creation it waits until an admin inputs their choice from a selection; which will then populate the config values with default values defined in the preset.
Describe alternatives you've considered
The alternative is manually adjusting the config values- which is doable, however subject to failure considering the vast amount of configuration options; for instance, in my case; I left faction fly on accidently, and it took too long to notice this issue; this caused issues.
Additional context
If you would like to see my configuration options. I would be happy to post them somewhere.
I especially think this suggestion is useful; as it doesn't change the core of the plugin; while allowing the plugin to advertise as not only a PvP plugin.
