Double click or "Open with ..." for .duckdb files

Would be nice if duckdb-sql-tools could open files with a .duckdb file extension automatically with a double click or with the "Open with ..." right click dialog of VS Code.

Agreed. The general idea for the Preview MVP was to provide the basic functionality most SqlTools drivers implement.

Open .duckdb, CSV, parquet and potentially JSON documents by loading them into DuckDB and providing SQL query interfaces and seamless behind the scenes connection management and data refresh is planned for the future versions of DuckDB Pro Tools, and is out of scope for the Free Trial version of DuckDB Sql Tools extension.

The Pro version of new DuckDB Tools will eventually use different data table viewer for results display, more elaborate database instance and schema explorer views, and use arrow data for the query results, data display, and as one of the save options to improve data loading and rendering performance.

This Free Trial DuckDB SQL Tools version was just our first alpha release to get devs and data analysts to experiment with DuckDB in VS Code without writing Jupyter notebooks or using CLI and terminal. Also, we wanted to gauge market interest in such simple data and DuckDB tools.
