This is a big idea, meaning it's going to be a pretty big set of features to design and implement, if we ever do.
Currently (Oct2024), we have 2 graphs (x vs t, y vs t line graphs, see #425 ) that are automatically generated on the Analyze page.
Eventually, we will have N types of graphs users will want to be able to select, depending on the type of motion being analyzed and their analytic goals. Also, as noted in #580, sometimes users will want to be able to graph more than one marker per movie, and be able to select which markers to graph.
There is also the idea that different types have motion have different types of statistical results that are generally interesting to that type of motion. The user might be able to select desired calculations individually or perhaps a named set of calculations, and there are predefined sets for well-known motion types such as circumnutation or gravitropism.
What the user workflow will be for all this an interesting topic, as well as page and navigation design (UX in general). Same Analyze page? Different pages to design/configure an analysis set vs. the display of analysis results, etc.
Perhaps the set of selection of these things will be savable as a named analysis configuration on behalf of the user and publishable to a course.
So, this is a very broad Issue, so feel free to discuss, refine, make sub-tasks or sub-issues, etc. Undoubtedly work in this area will be spread across many releases.
