From pcscd man page:

pcscd will quit after 60 seconds of inactivity after the release of the last PC/SC context. This is used when pcscd os started on demand by systemd.

However, virt_cacard doesn't handle this behavior and needs to be restarted.

The other option is to modify pcscd commandline not to contain the --auto-exit switch for the test. This prevents the auto-exit behavior.
