Design of Gunslinger

I had a question after looking at the code of Gunslinger and I looked at the maths implementation of it. It implements vectors (depending on what type of vector of course, for now take a vec2) in an array of 2 floats. What is the advantage of implementing them in 2 floats rather than just separated floats?

It unions the float array with separate floats, so you can use it several different ways. Sometimes it might be useful to call gs_vec2.xy[1] instead of gs_vec2.y. Depends on the context for what you need.
