Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Since some months ago, the data in the devices is not reliable. I've tried to increase AVAILABLE_TIMEOUT and the thing has going better. Is not perfect, but is a lot better. Maybe increasing it more it will be near perfect.

With a red line the moment I increased the value:

An option to configure the value. It will make some of us, who suffer the problem, minimize it.
