ACSM file not converting when importing from Kobo's site

Hello, I downloaded the plugin to put my kobo books in Calibre. The plugin works fine with the test books provided in the ReadMe link, but doesn't work with the ACSM files I've downloaded from kobo. I have the DeDMR 7.2.1 release and Calibre 5.38. It doesn't even convert the files from ACSM. It may be of note that ADE gives me the error E_ADEPT_NO_FULFILLMENT_RESULT when trying to open the books there, so I don't know if that is the issue, rather than something with the plugin. Thank you.
