Installation

This is not an installation guide. This is a landing page to ensure that you, the reader, follow the correct installation guide.

Realism Overhaul and Realistic Progression One are available for several versions of KSP. Please choose an appropriate link from the list below.

NOTE: All installation instructions use CKAN as a tool to assist in the installation process. Unless you are very well-informed on the RO/RP-1 mod ecosystem, you will have a VERY BAD TIME if you insist upon installing without CKAN. If you are unfamiliar with CKAN, it may be informative to read our [CKAN 101](CKAN 101) article before proceeding.

Current Installation Guides

KSP v1.8.1 (RO/RP-1 v1.4) Installation Guide: Experimental. Some details are still a work in progress and there may be some compatibility issues.

KSP v1.7.3 (RO/RP-1 v1.3) Installation Guide: This is the latest version of KSP for RP-1 supported by the newest RP-1 release (v1.3, released Feb 2020).

Deprecated Installation Guides

KSP v1.6.1 (RO/RP-1 v1.2) Installation Guide: Documentation is complete. CKAN dependencies are currently broken. As a result, RP-1 for 1.6.1 has been sunsetted and is no longer officially supported. Please use 1.7.3.

KSP v1.3.1 (RO/RP-1 v1.1) Installation Guide: This is the latest version of KSP supported by an older RP-1 release (v1.1, released May 2019). Documentation is complete.
