ceci n'est pas une pipe

This is not an installation guide. This is a landing page to ensure that you, the reader, follow the correct installation guide. Realism Overhaul and Realistic Progression One are available for several versions of KSP. Please choose an appropriate link from the list below.

Note: All installation instructions use CKAN as a tool to assist in the installation process. Unless you are intimately familiar with the RO/RP-1 mod ecosystem, you will have a VERY BAD TIME if you insist upon installing without CKAN. If you are unfamiliar with CKAN, it may be informative to read our CKAN 101 article before proceeding.

Current Installation Guides

KSP v1.10.1 (Latest RO/RP-1) Installation Guide. Note that you can downgrade your copy of KSP 1.12 to 1.10 for this install.

Deprecated Installation Guides

Please note: Support will not be provided for deprecated installs. While we understand there might be good reasons for staying on an older version of KSP, we simply don't have the resources to support both the current versions and older versions at the same time.

KSP v1.8.1 (RO/RP-1 v1.5-v1.8) Installation Guide: RP-1 v1.8, released March 2021, is the newest version of RP-1. It runs on KSP 1.8.1, but it is recommended to move on to 1.10 (above).

KSP v1.7.3 (RO/RP-1 v1.4) Installation Guide RP-1 v1.4, released April 2020, is the final version of RP-1 to support KSP v1.7.3. No further updates will be released for earlier versions. Development is complete.

KSP v1.6.1 (RO/RP-1 v1.2) Installation Guide: CKAN dependencies are currently broken. As a result, RP-1 for KSP v1.6.1 has been sunsetted. Please use v1.7.3 or later. RP-1 on KSP v1.6.1 is unsupported.

KSP v1.4.5 & v1.5.1: There exists no RP-1 release for these versions of KSP.

KSP v1.3.1 (RO/RP-1 v1.1) Installation Guide: RP-1 v1.1, released May 2019, is the final version of RP-1 to support KSP v1.3.1. No further updates will be released for earlier versions. Development is complete.
