Hide manga that is not in your library #1606
Comments
You could instead make a category called "Dropped" in your library and have those enteries there and then you can enable the hide enteries already in library. |
That would require adding/keeping them in my library and they would end up being refreshed every time I update my library and increasing the API calls to the websites. |
It's far more preferable to make the actual reading list less bulky and the thing you are suggesting doesn't do so. Why I would want to keep dropped things on my list? I have zero intention to pick them later, if it's dropped, it stays dropped. |
I never said my solution is only the correct way. There can multiple ways to solve any problem and in this case the problem is already solved and the solution is valid and works for everyone whether u use 1, 2 or 20 sources. But ur proposed solution only works for cases like yours. I don't understand how having many enteries will make the app slow? First time hearing about this. Which process of app becomes slow? On the contrary it will reduce the server load on mangadex, make ur global updates faster. I am done talking about this already solved issue. Let's see what the developer has to say about this. |
Which process? Obviously all of it, opening it, adding things on the list, removing things from the list, updating the list, basically everything and anything that has to do with the list.
It is not solved issue though because it is not an issue, it's a feature request. Just because it doesn't apply to you, doesn't mean other people won't benefit from it. There is plenty of features in Tachiyomi I don't use and deem useless and you probably use them and find them useful. |
Please will you seen the my issue |
Describe your suggested feature
For example, if you were to browse MangaDex, you could just hide or ignore the mangas you don't want to see when trying to look up for new mangas.
Lot like how the filtering for "already in library"-filter works but for manga you don't have any intention of ever reading or adding to your read list.
It would be very useful for scatterbrains like me who drop a manga, and then forget that it was dropped, add it back to the list and then realize that it was the one you had dropped.
