Bug report: Confusing error when user provides duplicate tide models to model param

Describe the problem
A confusing error occurs ("cannot convert data with duplicate index values to xarray").

Expected behavior
A user is given a helpful error message if they accidently provide duplicate tide models to the model param, warning them to de-dup the inputs.
