I have had Hatchery installed on my server for a few weeks now and I can't begin to tell you how many items I have accumulated. With other mod configuration, resources are more challenging to come by and I feel Hatchery is a little over powered.

I propose a configuration setting or settings that allow the overall hatch rates/and or drop rates to be altered. So instead of a chicken laying an egg every 2 minutes, a multiplier could be added like (current rates)*(multiplier) = new rate such that the multiplier could be set to 0.25 for a much more challenging experience.

Alternatively, if chickens had a decaying lifespan and their drops started to get less and less as they got older until they will not lay any longer, I feel this could also make the mod more challenging in a good way. Also with the ability to configure the lifespan or speed or something.

Let me know if you have questions or would like some help.

Thanks for a great mod.

but then you have to adjust the nests. placing 2 nests next to each other gives a 100% drop compared to non adjacent nests of 40% if i remember correctly.

Actually its not a bad idea, The only reason I never implemented something like that was only because this was originally developed for SF3. The mod started off with just the "egg nest", and than the "nesting pens". It was never meant to become what it has. But I have wanted to add in more configuration for things like that. I do like the aging of chickens.

while this might be a good idea.. please make it a optional thing.. or have a option to have it on death give a egg?
or have some way to make the nest keep the chicken alive?
