What can't you do?

I have a suggestion for community market of the game, shall we add some wooden/metal construction metal cases to the game that can be opened with the keys, and we can add some rare cosmetics that has good items with good effects like golden hard hat, flameable bandana, cartoon police hat et cetera, therefore s&box can have a good income from the community market by itself.

Also, you can make the current items limited therefore, the people who supported s&box before it came out can have a limited item on their inventory as a memory.

How would you like it to work?

You can add current items rare versions to the game for the community market that can be unlocked by cases like "Construction case", "Beta Case",
et cetera, but all I want to see in-game is that some goofy cartoonish things that can be fit with the terry.

What have you tried?

I don't have enough permission to try these, but I found some examples in s&box Discord.

This would be an annual income for S&box from the Community Market, with a case opening system, and the income can be used for Facepunch by itself or the income that comes from the Community Market can be used to support developers such as map makers, script developers, and modellers for S&box itself, like in Counter Strike 2 or Dota 2, because S&box has big potential and it can only earn money from the future sales of the game itself, which would not be enough later.

I suggest you create a case opening system for players to give them a chance to customize their avatar by opening boxes. The income can be used to fund developers of S&box; therefore, S&box can use the money it earns from the community market to fund itself.
This would create a win-win situation.

Here are some win-wins if this gets accepted:
Developers/Workshop creators will have a chance to gain some money through modelling, scripting, and mapping. (This can happen through contests like the best mods/models of 2024, payment after adding new accessories to the game from the workshop, by the players' votes, etc.)

Players will have a better gaming experience with the opportunity to customize their Terry model with the diligently and professionally worked-on scripts/models by the workshop creators or script developers.

Facepunch Studios would not need to use income from other games to fund S&box, and it can invest in itself with the money from the community market and game sales, because game sales would not be enough since people will only need to buy once.

I love money but ultimately ruining whatever style sbox is going for by creating ever more bombastic effects just to get a payout is not it

This system works for TF2 because the player is actively playing the same game over and over again, this is a game platform, you will not be playing as terry in every game.

I'd imagine developers would even try to disable these effects to try and prevent them from cluttering the game or try to just resell it to the players with their own shitty gambling store.

I think opening the platform immediately by going the gambling route doesn't instill hope for what the game monetization inside it is going to be like.

I don't see what's so bad about the current system that it instantly needs to go down the gambling route. All the benefits you list are what is currently in the game apart from the lootboxes and unusual effects. Lootboxes are a dumb predatory tactic that will eventually cause legal issues and unusual effects will detract heavily from a number of games.
From a user perspective I would much rather directly purchase a single cosmetic than spend upwards of hundreds of dollars just to potentially get one item I want. Every single benefit you list there is possible without lootboxes and afaik already planned.

The thing that I want here is something like a collection, it can be like a battlepass system for free or with money I don't know, but if there was some limited thing that when people earn it and after a long time, when they check their inventory, they can say that "Oh these was good times" et cetera, so it maybe a battlepass for free or not free maybe lootboxes or maybe from events. also the reason I referenced tf2 unusuals is that they are fitting with the current graphics of s&box and also with terry.
