Jost - Extra Light @ Google Fonts

I do like some Olde English

I like the light font.

Here is the color palette I came up with:
https://coolors.co/56bc58-128deb-fffce8-000f08-49393b

Here are some ideas I had as well.

A bit more abstract:

01

01-02

Lines like a list. Green for the ground. White / blue for the sky:

02

Or just the lines:

03

Or with brown instead of white:

Yeah, I like Jost, it's a good Futura alternative.

This could be a good app icon / favico

why different colours?

I made it without knowledge of this issue. So didn't know there was a preferred colour palette. My original thought was to keep it fairly neutral. Imagining the app content will already be colourful (channel logos / banner art / etc..). So I chose for a dark, light and an accent colour

No, I meant the L and istd are different colours

Ohw, good catch. both should have been pure black. Corrected it. Thanks!

Extract the above shape to be used as a favico/app icon

That was the idea
When accepted, I'll provide the original design files, together with pre-made variations of the logo (only logo, only text, negative colors, sizes, filetypes, etc). But for now it was just a quick craft I wanted to show

I really you like the second logo by @w3cj, from this I've crafted a "smiley", because we all need more emotion - also, it's a happy smiley 😃

I'm by far a desginer, nor do I wish to be - but I do like to fiddle with my creativity at times 🤷

I see some good ideas here. The second concept of @w3cj and the smiley concept of @Mobilpadde. Incorporated the L from list and the quirky D to see if I could build up on those concepts.

Iteration 1:
Idea 1
Incorporated the L in the "list-icon". I was quick to see that this seems to spell "LED", but turned, it looked like a person watching something. So I rounded it a bit to build upon this idea.

Iteration 2:
Idea 2
The rounded "list" element makes it less like it spells "LED" in my mind.

Adding a splash of color:
Idea 3

Made it an SVG for anyone who wants to iterate further. The font is based on Red Hat Display:

What about <li>std -- referencing the native li element? Example typefaces are from useandmodify. Victor Mono (V01) and Ark-es (V02).

I like this one but maybe it's too much focused on code...the end user of the app might not get the reference

I have absolutely no idea if Cj is even interested in logo for the the app, and looking at last stream he seemed perfectly fine with just typing out the name. But i was bored and here it is. The font is modified poppins.
listd-02

and here's another variant. This is really basic, and seen everywhere, plus not really appropriate since checklists =/= lists, but i like it,

This is the best i could do to turn it closer to a "L"

Its a while back, but you've asked to see this logo with a less slanted L.
I tried different options, but without it being that slanted, it looks better to just have it straight. I left the icon with the slanted L because it resembles a triangle (hint to play button).
When needed, I can share the figma file.

These look really good. I should get him to make me a logo for something someday. 😅
