Description

A user reported that the Quote block doesn't have any particular style in the editor in order to be easily differentiated from the Paragraph block. There is a row dedicated to the citation, which is written in italic at the bottom of the block, but that is the only thing that suggests the block is a Quote, not a Paragraph. On the published page, the Quote block has a vertical bar on the left side which shows that it's not a regular paragraph, but that bar doesn't appear in the editor. Twenty Twenty adds that bar in the editor as well, so it is easier to differentiate a quote from a regular paragraph.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

  1. Add a Paragraph and a Quote block in the editor
  2. Check that there is no particular style of the Quote block
  3. Publish the page and observe the vertical bar added for the Quote block, which makes it stand out from regular paragraphs
  4. Change the theme to a different one and check that the vertical bar appears in the editor as well
