Background CSS to change per slide

Hi,

Im using Nivo slider for a simple image slider, but i want to add a feature to the slider so that as it changes to the next slide, the background-color css of another div changes with it. Is this possible?

E.G. For slide 1 would have the background colour of red, but when the slider moves on to slide 2 it changes the color to green and so on.
