Prerequisites

  • I have searched all issues/PRs to ensure it has not already been reported or fixed.

  • Reasonably well-known and widely used
  • A game or a game-related tool
  • English interface (or at least English documentation)
  • Latest stable or development version
  • Full version (i.e. not a trial version)
  • Fairly standard install (e.g. uses a version-specific download URL, no elaborate pre/post install scripts)

mesa builds for windows, can be used as gl on dx or gl on vk wrapper, like dxvk or dxwrapper but for opengl games

Feel free to open a pull request for this 🙂

However, I'm not sure what kind of post-install steps should be taken. Automatically installing it system-wide as a post_install step is probably too invasive, as it'll take priority over hardware-accelerated OpenGL.

I think it's just fine to extract it to ~/scoop/apps and prompt user that they they can grab dlls from there, just like dxvk.

"Installing" it system-wide do make problems (fun fact Microsoft actually distribute their builds of Mesa on MS Store, as vendor GL implement on some Qualcomm devices is so bad)

The real problem with Mesa GLonDX12 or so, is that it wasn't designed to be a simple application level "workaround" wrapper, so it lacks configuration ability like dxvk.conf, and use environment variables instead.
