While reading the Orion manuscript I noticed that, similarly to Neura, Orion features a routine for pipette segmentation (that I could not find the source for). We will likely be implementing one for ImageJ (tferr/hIPNAT#4). I was wondering if you would be willing to disclose your current segmentSomaPipette code (or part of it) so that it could be ported to Java? On a related note, is Orion being ported to Vaa3D?

You're right, the segmentSomaPipette code is not up yet. I'm currently working on refactoring the code and publishing a Vaa3D plugin. It should be ready by the end of the month. I'll let you know on this issue when it is ready.
It's interesting that you mention ImageJ. I had been thinking about wrapping up the ORION code for Java using SWIG/JNI or JNA, but I don't have a timeline for that yet.

Thanks! Eager to test it!
