  • I will set a reminder a week before each event and try to make a quick announcement for twitter/reddit like we have been doing for OMI

  • a lot of what I am already doing is pretty basic stuff, like getting your avatar into a World, etc. I want to share the knowledge.
• Give us your educational content. Tell people how to become like you, and how to build on your platform.
• The user journey to getting started with tutorials is filled with challenges like do I use blender or Maya, or three, etc.
• What does step one look like
  • limit the criteria for content to start: (Of what we produce or curate)
    • Use open source (free) stuff
    • webxr tutorials
  • Can proprietary platforms share their how-to's as well?
    • Yes, but we won't be seeking out that content ourselves for our curriculum.
    • an open knowledge platform shouldn't limit who gets to share their knowledge so long as it is within reason and not harmful.
  • a strong modern search function
  • anyone can add articles, implement tagging
  • add .md support
  • tell people "we are doing this thing, its an open project, share your knowledge here as well"
  • the hardest thing is always getting past the 101-course. "What do I freaking google?"

• Ultra-lightweight: markdown publishing multi-user thing, you can sign up, and then start adding content. Everything else put on top is enhanced user experience (search, etc.)
• What is the best strategy to get people to publish on the site?
  • Make it as easy as possible to create/submit content
• in other platforms like dev.to, there is no real discoverability from inside the site. Most of the time you find it from google. so most of the content tends to lean to beginners because thats what people most often google.

A site where people can submit easily searchable content, with the potential to add on top of that.

I want to submit a markdown file so that my content can be viewed and searchable.

About:

• less of an odin project
• closer to a dev.to with more of a focus
• could always build out a khan academy style curriculum as we go.
• series of posts acting as mini curriculums, or people making lists of aggregate articles (all the things you need to make X) PEOPLE WANT TO CREATE LISTS

• create and show how we created some swiss army knife tools, or different things we have found that could be easily linked to like donmcurdy (gltf-viewer), pmndrs gltf code generator, etc.
