Google Maps hangs/crashes

• OS: CachyOS (ArchLinux derivate)
• Thorium Version 126.0.6478.231 (SSE3 binary from the .deb)

Problem
When I open https://maps.google.com the tab freezes after loading the page initially. It will eventually show an "tab not responding" window and exiting it then will sometimes crash the tab:

Removing the cookies always helps, so it seems to have something to do with being logged in. Once logged in again, it will hang/crash again.
